Photo Repositories – Gratitude Rant #19

So there I was once again, staring at my computer at the end of the day (with the clock ticking closer and closer to midnight), trying to decide what I wanted to write about. Trying to decide what I’m most grateful for today.

Like I’ve said before, my writer’s block isn’t due to a lack of blessings. It’s more just a lack of focus on my part.

So, in an effort to maybe drum up some inspiration, I decided to scroll through the archived photos on my phone.

As I started, I scrolled through a whole bunch of familiar pictures. I saw a ridiculous amount of sunset pictures. I saw stuff from last week’s pheasant hunt. There were photos of our woodstove. And of course, there were pictures of Rump.

But as I scrolled further and further back in time, I saw some things I had totally forgotten about:

…like that night my dad and I spent camping up on the mountain, listening to the elk bugle.
Or the night my little monkey and I went “camping” in our own backyard…

Seriously, how do you forget about something like that?!

There were pictures of family reunions and quiet summer evenings. Cute little things our daughters have done. Newborn goats, fluffy little chicks — and of course, our own newborn baby…

The further back in time I went, the bigger my smile got. It’s just fun to take a walk down memory lane sometimes…

If a picture is worth a thousand words, I sure did a lot of reading tonight!

I’m very grateful for photo repositories (Google Photos, in particular).
